EuroFabrique Cluj 2023

From the 5th to the 10th of December 2023

From the 5th to the 10th of December 2023, the city of Cluj-Napoca in Romania, hosted the second edition of EuroFabrique, an adaptation of the initial format introduced in Paris in 2022. The event was organized by a consortium of partners, including the Cluster of Creative Industries Transylvania, CREIC (The Regional Center for Excellence in Creative Industries), the Institut Français of Romania, Mushuroi, and ANdEA.

EuroFabrique in Cluj brought together 200 guests and 170 representatives, comprising teachers and students from 19 higher education institutions with an artistic profile across eight European countries: Romania, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, and Latvia.

The general theme of the event was “The Abduction of Europa”. Over five days, an intensive workshop led to the creation of numerous interdisciplinary art projects spanning drawing, painting, photography, installation, ceramics, video, video-mapping, performance, and music. The program also featured an extensive schedule of lectures and mentoring sessions conducted by 45 leading international cultural guests.

The event included the inaugural EuroFabrique Think Camp, a press conference, and a series of six conferences, which comprised lectures, round tables, and meetings with the press and EuroFabrique Cluj sponsors. One entire day was dedicated to the general public, who could visit the exhibition perimeter and participate in public presentations and performances of the projects developed by the participants. More than 600 people attended this day at the Mushuroi Creative Hub, engaging with the creative talents and collaborative efforts showcased during the event.
